The upcoming clash will determine one of Africa’s final qualification spots for the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana finished third in Group D after ending the group stage level with Algeria on points, goals scored, and goals conceded. However, Algeria advanced as runners-up after winning the drawing of lots, forcing the Black Starlets into the play-offs for a chance to secure a World Cup berth.
Uganda also placed third in Group B and will now meet Ghana in a crucial play-off encounter set for Saturday.
Africa has been allocated 10 places for the FIFA U17 World Cup, which will take place in Qatar later this year.
The eight teams that reached the quarter-finals of the U17 AFCON automatically qualified for the tournament, while the remaining two spots will be decided through play-off matches involving the four best third-placed teams from the group stage
