Held at the Pelican Hotel, the event paid tribute to the outstanding legacy of one of Ghana’s most iconic football personalities while reaffirming a renewed commitment to strengthening support for the national teams ahead of the country’s fifth appearance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.

In his new capacity, Asamoah Gyan will lead promotional drives, fan engagement activities, and strategic corporate partnerships aimed at uniting Ghanaians behind the Black Stars and advancing Colts football, regarded as the backbone of the nation’s football development. He will also represent the Football Association at major events and spearhead initiatives focused on boosting nationwide support for Ghana football.

With 51 goals to his name for Ghana, Gyan remains the country’s all-time leading scorer. He featured for the Black Stars in three FIFA World Cups and cemented his status as one of Ghana’s greatest football legends.
